About me

Sports always had an important role in my life. I started rhythmic gymnastics and skating at the age of 4, together with swimming and ballet. Figure skating - and later synchronized skating had a great impact on me. I have not experienced that freedom of movement, elegance, improvisation and passion in any other sport I ever tried. Those hard years of training, attending 3 World Synchronized Skating Championships and being part of the National Team taught me more of being human than any school.

I had to choose between my much loved sport and my future profession in 2008 - which led me to the path of seeking new adventures. Skiing was love at first sight but (thank God) we don't have snow all year long in Hungary and so it remained a seasonal sport for me. Although one of my earliest memories is my Granddad teaching me how to ride the bicycle at the shore of Lake Balaton, I never thought I could love cycling near as much as skating. After all, that is all about pedalling, isn't it? And yet, there I was 20 years later falling in love again. Special credit and thanks to Tóth Balázs, who's enthusiasm was simply contagious.

A whole new dimension of cycling opened up to me when I bought my Beloved Bike - approx. 15 years old TREK OCLV road beauty. A real beast. She will be my partner on my adventure.
